How we review UK casinos
Every casino goes through the same fixed process. Nothing is scored from a screenshot or a press release, and no casino sees a review before you do.
Check the licence
We find the operator on the Gambling Commission public register, record its account number and confirm the website domain is covered. If the licence doesn’t check out, the review stops there.
Open and verify three accounts
Three accounts with different verification profiles. We time age and identity checks from submission to approval, and note whether documents are handled inside a secure account area.
Deposit, play and withdraw
We fund accounts with our own money at ordinary amounts, play slots, table games and live casino, then request several withdrawals on weekdays and weekends, timing each from request to arrival.
Read the bonus small print
We check wagering against the 10x UK cap, game weighting, expiry, maximum stake rules and how easy it is to opt out.
Test support
We ask live chat questions with checkable answers, including at least one awkward one about bonus terms, and record connection times and accuracy.
Test every safer gambling tool
We set and lower deposit limits, trigger reality checks, take a time-out and confirm that raising a limit triggers a cooling-off period. We check GAMSTOP is honoured at login.
Score, check, publish
Six weighted categories produce the overall score. A second reviewer checks the evidence before publication. Every review is re-checked each quarter.
Weights
How the overall score is built
| Category | Weight |
|---|---|
| Licensing and transparency | 15% |
| Withdrawals and payouts | 25% |
| Games and software | 20% |
| Bonus fairness | 10% |
| Customer support | 15% |
| Safer gambling tools | 15% |
Each category is scored from 1 to 5. The overall score is the weighted average, rounded to one decimal place. Rankings follow the overall score — nothing else.
An honest limitation. Our figures describe what happened to our accounts during a set period. Payout speed and verification can vary by payment method, amount and personal circumstances. Treat them as a well-evidenced guide, not a guarantee.
