In short: We collect very little: only what you send us through the contact form, and a cookie that remembers your cookie choice.
1. Who we are
Tallyroom is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact: editor@tallyroom.co.uk.
2. What we collect
Contact form: your name, email address, enquiry topic and message, plus the date and time you sent it.
Cookie choice: a strictly necessary cookie recording whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies.
Server logs: our hosting provider may keep standard request logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security, for a short period.
3. Why we use it (lawful basis)
We use contact form data to reply to you, on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. We use the cookie-choice cookie because it is strictly necessary to respect your preference. Server logs are kept for our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure.
4. Who we share it with
We never sell personal data and never pass enquiries to casinos. Data is processed by our hosting provider only to run the website.
5. How long we keep it
Contact messages are deleted 24 months after our last reply. The cookie-choice cookie expires after 12 months.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of or erasure of your data, object to its use, or ask us to restrict it. Email editor@tallyroom.co.uk. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
7. Children
This website is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we delete it.
